I ralphed all over the place last night. What the hell! I haven't been sick for years (excluding colds, which don't really count), let alone have I ralphed up Cheez-its all night; which, it is worth noting, are the worst-tasting and smelling things to bring back up that I have expererienced thus far.

I got a flue vaccine just a few months ago. Maybe that's what I get for getting it at Target, though.

Having not run for a month and a half and eating all kinds of questionable things over christmas break might have had something to do with it, too. Either way, I've prevented my grandparents from coming to visit my brother one last time before he goes to Iraq. Whoops. =/

I'm doing away with titles. Now your little subscription sidebars will just have an unnatractive half-sentence on them. Sorry.

Tomorrow I'm going island-vacationing for the second time this year, except this time you can subtract the good company of friends and rowdy southerners and add the awkward company of family members I don't really know all that well and whatever kind of strange agents go to Florida for Christmas. Yeah!

There is a trip in the works in T-Minus four weeks or so that has a much more definite appeal. The destination begins with a "P" and ends with "ennsylvania."

.

I think saying "that was awkward," "he's so awkward," or other varations of the word awkward is slowly becoming the most overused word/phrases by a select demographic of teenagers that I can't really put my finger on, replacing "that was random!"

know what I mean?

The temperatures are already bordering on arctic, and it's only November. I haven't run in over a week and a half (or almost two weeks if you want to look at it that way). I don't do anything to make up for it. There's nothing more pressing that I could be doing most of the time. Sometimes I leave school and sit in my car through all of 6th period. The other day two douchey juniors that I have had one or two douchey run-ins with got the K-Mart security called on them while I was finishing a mostly aimless excursion through the store. My ears perked up a little and I finished paying for my no-name, imitation brand cheap energy drink and pack of discount Winterfresh gum that was bordering on stale (hence the discount), and I stood at the front of the store for a few minutes before deciding to walk back to my car instead of wait for the action. True story.

I should be writing a paper on facism right now. I should also be calling the collegeboard help number to get my username that would otherwise be sent to a deleted email account if I tried to get it via internet. If I manage to do this I can maybe get an answer back from the schools I've applied to, which is very unnerving because if I don't get into Temple or Drexel my options are kind of unfavorable. If those two schools reject me there's no way that Saint Joe's won't, and that leaves Widener and UD.

Please figuartively mail me a slap in the face if I ever start to deserve it.

scenic this, scenic that

I was still under the impression the Phillies sucked until I learned they were in the world series last week. This isn't some condescending jab at sports fans, I just feel deeply out of the Pennsylvania loop (and always have been with the sports loop as a whole). I feel like I spend too much time trying to have a grasp on various loops. It's looopeh.

Rundown of daily routines:

Wake up, yell at my parents while I'm still half-asleep for waking me up (I usually feel kind of bad about this afterward), shower. You know, like most people. Brush my teeth, shave when I'm feeling especially mature, and briefly make a mental note to expand my haircut to other regions but quickly forget to (TMI TMI TMI). Knock on John's door, call his name once, call it again with no response, and then call it a third time, to which he responds "I KNOW" like I was somehow supposed to know even though he wasn't showing any signs of being awake.
Drive to school after shoveling several granola bars into my mouth. Sometimes I only have to drive myself, which is nice because I can listen to music that is totally innapropriate for the time of morning at my own chosen volume. I get to school, hastily smoke a cigarette in the K-Mart parking lot (I kind of like parking there, I don't know why), dodge traffic, pop my headphones in once I reach safety and enjoy the walk. Once I get to school I spend a lot of time going out of my way to pass time inbetween classes, including frequent trips to the bathroom and waterfountain, and uneccessary trips to my locker in which I open it, look around inside, and then close it without getting anything out. The only exception is 3rd period and occassionally in the morning when I cross paths with Lou. My headphones are kind of a safety device that distract me from feeling obligated to be social (that might sound more depressing than it is).
6th period consists of sitting in the library reading (kind of like Sallies, except no one is forcing me to stay there), sometimes wandering over to ATM machine in the hockey rink and think about making a withdrawl just because I want to try using it, and lately making drawings of pictures that I've taken with my cell phone.
Lou drives me up the hill after school, I drive home and spend all day doing things that are mostly even more banal than what I do in school. Sometimes I have work, which I actually enjoy most of the time.

I don't know why I wrote all of that.

public transportation, you're the only one for me

I miss riding the bus. Everything that was good about it is stripped away by driving somewhere yourself (although so is everything that's bad about it, to be fair). I miss when coughing fits weren't treacherous and when I had time to listen to more than three or four songs before I reach my destination, and being able to fully absorb and appreciate them instead of treating them like background noise. I miss spacing out totally and completely in a way that trudging from the K-Mart parking lot while trying to dodge traffic and make it to school before I catch hypothermia doesn't offer (although, to be fair again, this offers several other new oppurtunities, like browsing through K-Mart in 5th period because I couldn't stand sitting in the library anymore).
