a cunt supreme, part 2

Nothing noteworthy has really happened lately.

School is getting old pretty fast. I always feel really focussed and on top of things in the morning, but by the time lunch rolls around I'm ready to headbutt the wall.

I feel like school hinders me socially just because I'm usually so sour about being there that I don't have that much to say to anyone. This is especially true of Sallies, which isn't exactly the most stimulating social enviroment in the first place.
The lack of girls and kids who aren't rich and white (despite what they choose to believe) cripples any social aspect of high school for me. I feel like crucial life lessons and learning experiences are left out because of these two missing factors.

Some might argue that the lack of girls allows you to be less self-conscious. But, as someone who can't always relate to conversations about professional football and which Padua girl with the personality of a woodplank everyone supposedly fucked over the weekend or is planning to fuck, I can honestly say that I do relate to girls more than guys in some cases, especially if that means not always having shallow, stupid conversations and doing my damndest to upkeep being a stereotypical male.

The lack of diversity causes everyone to feel like they have to fit some kind of bullshit mold instead of celebrating their differences, and it's a big crock of shit.

Coming soon: Less ranting and more jokes about my penis.

the mandatory list of things i'm thakful for

- Friend and family (I put them together because both are kind of given)
- Dogs and all other animals
- Books
- Good fruit
- My bus ride that, despite being made up of 60% douchebags and 30% annoying girls from Padua and Ursalin, is long enough that I can sleep while listening to music and still wake up before I have to get off.
- The drums and finally making slight improvements in playing them.
- Weather of all types
- Water
- Good teachers
- Lion's Head for being cheap and not tasting like shit.
- Movies that are stimulating (lol) and thought-provoking.
- The internet for being such a useful tool as well as a good source of finding music and killing time.
- Clothing
- Sleep
- Experiences
- Q-tips, soap, shampoo, and anything else that keeps me clean.
- Running
- Cancer sticks, especially before running

Hm.

I fixed this so anyone can comment, including people who aren't registered members. This will set me up for dissapointment when I realize that the only person who reads this is Joe.

I came to the realization that the only thing to do with my current situation is to have the best time that I can possibly have for my last 8 months in PA, and come back here to go to college. It will basically be like spending a year in a place where I don't know anyone, which sounds exciting, and then coming back. So far this hasn't worked out that well since I haven't done much of anything but sit around the house, but whatever.

I watched Requiem For a Dream a little while ago. I might have to watch it again because I'm not really sure what to think of it. There's too much going on at once by the end.
I thought this was funny, though. I would have posted it as an embed but I'm not sure how. http://youtube.com/watch?v=IdXngAB8Zbw

the more signfigant thing that I had to say

was that I'm moving to Minnesota next summer.

More details later. But for now, let me know if you would be willing to hide me in your room, let me sleep there, feed me, etc.
I won't be much trouble.

I guess the most signifigant thing that happened this weekend was that my attitude toward football was changed. Both of the games that I took the time to watch (one in which I was actually there and the other which I watched on TV) actually managed to grab my attention at the fourth quarter, which is the best time to start paying attention. What I like the most is that it's so suspenseful. I'll never become one of those people who has arguments about The Eagles being better than the Cowboys or any shit like that, but I do have a little bit of a newfound respect for it.
Like a lot of other things, I found that I liked football once I gave it a chance, but the reason that I was skeptical and the first place (and still am as far as saying that I will ever be a full-fledged fan goes) is because of the subculture of douche bags that sorrounds it. I can't help but to feel that I will somehow automatically get into the spirit of being a douche bag by sharing similar interests with them.
But then you could say that I'm already a douche bag anyway, and it's just for other reasons.

Friday night consisted of the football game that was mentioned above, and also quality time with The Gallagher family (most of it at least) and Christian. The rest of the weekend was pretty uneventful.

I have something more signifigant to say, but I'm not at liberty to do so until later the week. Just thought I would leave everybody (hardly anyone) in suspense.

crimes against humanity

- Father Kifilo's taste in music. It goes in patterns of the worst country music I've ever heard, bad nu metal, bad techno, and completely random shit like barbershop quartet. I know he's a priest, but what the fuck?
- Father Kifilio's class. I didn't sign up to make a little box or make diagrams from how light to dark you can scribble with your pencil. I signed up to draw indians and cans of baked beans and he ruined everything. The only semi-cool thing I've done all year is draw a bunch of unrelated stuff that he put on a table. I chose a bowl of fruit, a headless manekin (which he probably has because he's a serial killer), and some leaves.

That's all, really. And yes, I'm still bitter about those indians. They had so much potential.

so...

Through having met a few people at Sallies this year who are actually pretty cool, I'm toying with the idea of going to my first school function.
For the most part, I see school events (especially ones at Sallies) as activities for kids who can't think of anything better to do, but considering how often I go to the grange I really don't have any room to talk.

It always seems like when I branch out and do something different with a group of people outside of my regular friends, I usually miss something really eventful that happened amongst said regular friends, and didn't have enough fun the new group of people to really compensate for whatever it is that I missed out on.
But, we'll see.

As much as a girlfriend would be great right now, another part of me is still too damn content with everything else that is going on to care. Not that I ever feel the need to latch on to someone in order to be happy (if you do that, go fuck yourself), but it seems more like it would just be a welcomed addition to my life more than a necessity whenever it actually decides to happen. Part of me feels weird for still never having properly been with a girl and being almost seventeen, but the other part of me still doesn't really care. Things usually fall into place, ya'know?

Notice how I actually wrote something relevant to my life as of late and didn't try to be clever or funny once this entire post. Upgrade or downgrade?

Dry skin and Miss Widdoes are the current banes of my existence.
