Almost slid off the cosmos permanently last night, or at least I was convinced I was going to. Maybe this is some kind of greater metaphor for my feelings toward everything as a whole condensed and released in a single 5-hour experience, but either way, it felt pretty nice to hit the sack finally last night.
I don't know what else to say. College has improved since my last post. I think now I need to focus on doing less stupid shit, and things will be great, or at least I hope so.

Oh Vincent Yu, who are you?
That is the question for the ages. More minor questions include:
Are you still attending LaSalle?
Will I have to wear headphones around you all the time?
Are you as asian as you sound?
Will you be offended if you read that later once we get to know each other?
Will we get to know each other?
Do you like toast, too?
Will you bring the mini fridge so we can do college-like things like having college-like drinks, or should I?
Are you religious?
Will I think of you every time I foolishly drink red bull and feel as if I spent two dollars on a night of sleep deprivation?
How broken up are you about the death of John Hughes?
At what age did your voice start cracking?
Are you experienced?
Have you ever been to Electric Lady Land?
Do you like acronyms?
Do you know how they make orange jello orange?
How would you feel if meals came in single tubes of paste in the future?
Does it satisfy you to see a house that still has a laundry chute?
Are you the kind of guy who wears sandals year round?
Tornados?
Do you think it would be cool if people had gils?

I am closing my eyes and seeing Snood characters fire at each other and dissolve in groups of threes or more. I don't know if I am just hell-bent on beating Lou's high scores to salvage some kind of confidence or I am really sucked into the most simplistic, addictive game on earth.
Summer is going pretty well. The Andrew Jackson Jihad show came at just the right time (the prime of my Andrew Jackson Jihad kick, that is; although I only caught the last half of the set), the rest of the night consisted mostly of browsing through shifty, racially-favored grocery stores (bodegas?) and watching the last half of Watchmen.
Also, scattered bonfires, walks around Lake Calhoun, and things like that. I feel like I'm having a better last summer as a high schooler than I would have expected, although I feel like I'm doing a pretty terrible job of doing anything productive (saving money, getting ready for college). Speaking of college, my roommate is still ellusive. Apparently there are a lot of people on facebook named Vincent Yu.

I'm living the dream
and by dream I mean using a computer that is located in my room and is specifically for my personal use and no one else's. I feel like so many kids who have their own computers just don't realize how lucky they are for having such convenient access to porn and unlimited hours to burn on ebay or something that isn't really worth all their time.
just saying.
just saying.

The statement "WE MADE IT" as applied to high school graduation makes me feel like I just crawled out of the jungle after slashing through dense vegitation with a machete, living in fear of land mines and the lurking presence of enemy troops with these people, rather than having spent some odd years (okay, just one) barely knowing the vast majority of them.
What I'm getting at here is that high school graduation is kind of an unremarkable feat. I don't really know why I'm feeling the need to drop this diatribe now, having been freshly graduated for almost a month now, but the point that I'm getting at here is that in the typical way that I irrationally develop a snot-nosed attitude toward everything that is supposed to be important but seems stupid to me because I fail to see the simpler, well-intentioned points behind them, I felt hardly anything when I walked up to receive my diploma. I wasn't even very nervous, at least as far as I could tell (I did hand the announcer my name card backwards and upside down after I lost it under my seat earlier in the ceremony). I think I just generally feel unaccomplished about high school, and am still feeling like I really did nothing celebration-worthy until maybe my last year, which was more or less just a desperate scramble to bring my GPA up for colleges.
I am on the home stretch of my vacation now, and it's kind of funny that this is the kind of thing I'm thinking about. But anyway. I am on Joe's couch hanging out with Vladmir the dog, who is a pretty good guy, even if he is still a biter and was really bent on getting me to share my Nature Valley bar a few minutes ago. I will probably choke down my last cigarette on the back porch in a moment, since I am alone in someone else's house (well, Mimi is asleep) and don't really know why I felt the need to write a somewhat personal blog entry on Joe's macbook while he's at work.
I'm havin' an early life crisis, yall.
